A prominent part of the soundtrack to our times, Michael McDonald has won an impressive five Grammy Awards. First making his mark with Steely Dan, McDonald then began his long run with the Doobie Brothers, singing lead on signature songs such as "What a Fool Believes," which won the Grammy for Song of the Year, and "Minute by Minute," which carried away the Record of the Year Grammy. As a solo artist, McDonald's husky, passionate voice has put its imprint on a steady stream of memorable songs, including his mega-hit version of the Motown favorite "Ain't No Mountain High Enough." Michael McDonald remains an enduring presence in popular music. He is truly the "Artist's Artist."
