An Acoustic Evening with LYLE LOVETT and JOHN HIATT on Stage Together

Two songwriting giants on stage together. One of the most distinctive songwriters to come out of Nashville, four-time Grammy Award-winner Lyle Lovett is equally comfortable in pop, rock, blues and country. Eleven time Grammy nominee John Hiatt melds rock, acoustic, folk, new wave and Mississippi Delta blues into songs recorded by some three-dozen artists over the last three decades, from Three Dog Night to Eric Clapton.

Lyle Lovett and John Hiatt can't easily be confused. Lovett has that crazy hair that changes height over the years, the crooked smile, the sweet voice that breaks your heart, the sometimes mischievous lyrics.

Hiatt has the more conventional look, the gravelly and soulful voice, the killer guitar riffs, the love songs that tear you up.

Their musical leanings, however, are harder to pin down. Each plays rock, blues and country, with Lovett throwing in some swing and gospel.

They sing about love that lifts them up and love that wears them down. They also sing about mothers and fathers, felons, ponies, cars and guitars. Between them they have almost 40 studio albums and have performed too many concerts to count.
