Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra
Conductor Keith Lockhart and his Holiday Pops is a special seasonal experience filled with great surprises. This is the only place in Kentucky to see the Boston Pops!
The Boston Pops was born in 1885, when the members of the Boston Symphony Orchestra first performed a summer program of light music in a cafe-style setting. The Pops has grown and grown in popularity until it is now known around the world as "America's Orchestra." Each year, the Pops performs in live concerts for more than a million people in its Boston's Symphony Hall, outdoors at the Charles River Esplanade, and on its American and international tours. Add to their live performances the broadcast performances on PBS Evening at the Pops, the A&E Network's Fourth of July live telecast, and the orchestra's RCA recordings, and it is easy to see why the New York Times says, "The Boston Pops is the best-known, most recorded, and arguably most popular orchestra in the United States." Kick off your Holiday Season in spectacular fashion with the Boston Pops and its popular conductor Keith Lockhart in a sparkling concert filled with fun, surprises, and all of your seasonal favorites.
